Vice-Rectorate for International Relations organized on 23 September the online event Orientation Day to facilitate the successful integration of incoming Erasmus+ students and newly enrolled international student, into our university life.
The students were greeted by Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Irina Lungu who expressed her satisfaction with the online presence of many international students eager to meet TUIASI professors and colleagues.
„It’s wonderful to be here, people who like Erasmus or have chosen TUIASI for studies, short or long studies… We are together here, students from abroad, Romanian students, team of International Relations office, enthusiastic professors – Erasmus coordinators, ESN representatives”, said professor Lungu.
After the presentation of faculties, the Buddy students team provided detailed information about practical matters concerning international and incoming students stay in Iasi like: how to use the public transport in Iasi, recommendations about beautiful places from Iasi and around it worth to visit, the accomodation in Tudor Vladimirescu student campus etc.
All incoming students and newly international students enrolled at TUIASI have a buddy helping them to know Romanian culture, the university and the city and to overcome the inherent difficulties of being for the first time in a foreign country.
The President of ESN (Erasmus Student Network) Iasi presented the organization and expressed her support and help for all foreign students.
In the last part of the meeting the specific questions were addressed by international students and detailed answers were provided by the representatives of TUIASI.
