Erasmus+ Mobilities for Outgoing Students

Are you a TUIASI student looking to broaden your horizons? Through the Erasmus+ program, you can take part in enriching study or traineeship experiences abroad.

Types of Mobilities

  1. Study Mobilities (SMS – Student Mobility for Studies):
    • Duration: 2-12 months per academic cycle.
    • Partner countries: Universities that have an Erasmus+ agreement with your faculty.
  2. Traineeship Mobilities (SMP – Student Mobility for Placement):
    • Duration: 2-12 months per academic cycle.
    • Available for students and recent graduates (must be selected before completing studies).

What are the eligibility criteria?

  1. General Requirements:
    • Enrolled as a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD student at TUIASI.
    • Romanian or international student with active enrollment.
    • A maximum of 12 months mobility (study + traineeship) per academic level.
  2. Language Proficiency:
    • Present a valid language proficiency certificate (Linguatek, Cambridge, TOEFL, etc.).
    • Certificates can be obtained from the Linguatek Center at TUIASI or another accredited institution.
  3. Specific Faculty Requirements:
    • Check with your faculty for any additional eligibility criteria.

How to apply

  1. Application Documents:
    • Academic transcript with grades from the previous year.
    • Motivational letter.
    • Europass CV.
    • Copy of language certificate.
    • Faculty-specific application form.
  2. Selection Deadlines:
    • Study Mobilities:
      • March 15-25: For the first semester of the next academic year.
      • October 1-15: For the second semester of the current academic year.
    • Traineeship Mobilities:
      • March 15-25: For summer placements.
      • October 1-15: For second-semester placements in the next academic year.
  3. Next Steps:
    • Visit your faculty’s Erasmus+ coordinator for guidance.
    • Check your faculty’s website for partner university agreements.
    • Research your host university’s application and mobility requirements.

Preparing for mobility

  1. Finalize Your Study Plan:
    • Work with your faculty’s Erasmus+ coordinator to complete the Learning Agreement or Training Agreement.
  2. Obtain Necessary Documents:
    • Official invitation from the host university/company.
    • Rector’s Approval Request (with faculty and Erasmus+ coordinator endorsements).
    • Financial contract with proof of identification, bank details (Euro account), and health insurance.
  3. Organize Housing:
    • Explore host university dorms, contact ESN networks, or connect with past participants for advice.

During the mobility

  1. Mandatory Documents:
    • Learning Agreement (original).
    • Certificate of Attendance.
    • Erasmus+ Student Charter.
    • Europass Mobility Certificate.
  2. Academic Requirements:
    • Complete all activities in the Learning Agreement:
      • 3 months = 20 credits.
      • 1 semester = 30 credits.
      • Full year = 60 credits.
    • For traineeships, fulfill all tasks outlined in the Training Agreement.
  3. Adjustments:
    • Collaborate with the host university to make any necessary updates to the Learning Agreement while maintaining the required credit load.

Returning from mobility

  1. Submit the following to the International Relations Office (Erasmus+):
    • Transcript of Records.
    • Certificate of Attendance.
    • Learning/Training Agreement.
    • Recommendation letter from the host professor.
    • Europass Mobility Certificate.
    • Narrative activity report.
    • Transport documentation.
  2. Provide the faculty with:
    • Transcript of Records.
    • Copy of the Learning Agreement.
