The Department for Teacher Training – Foreign Languages of TUIASI is hosting this year the second edition of the international interdisciplinary conference Mad Science.
Between 5th -7th June 2026, humanities PhD students and scholars interested in interdisciplinary studies are invited to present their research on this year’s topic: Biology, Technology, and Systems of Power.
The conference welcomes presentations in English, French, Romanian, and German in concurrent panels, as well as proposals for workshops. In the previous edition (2024), which focused on Innovation, Genius, and Madness, we were very happy to welcome to Iași guests from Germany, France, Morocco, the USA and collaborators from several Romanian universities (Iași, Bucharest, Brașov) and we hope to host a similarly diverse international audience this year.
The conference proceedings will be published in Caietele Linguatek/Les Cahiers Linguatek/Linguatek Notebooks (Gheorghe Asachi Technical University Press), a journal with growing tradition curated by the Linguatek Centre of Applied Modern Languages and Communication (members of the Foreign Languages team), now reaching its 10th volume and assembling annually collaborators from a variety of countries.
