Celebrating Spring with Creativity: Mărțișor for Everyone at TUIASI

TUIASI’s international community embraced the arrival of spring through a vibrant, creative workshop that celebrated Romanian traditions in a truly unique way. On February 27, 2025, Erasmus+ and international students joined together for the event Mărțișor for everyone. Let’s celebrate spring together!, where they explored the tradition of Mărțișor and crafted their own symbolic pieces of art.

The event was an exciting blend of cultures, bringing together students from all corners of the world to experience the Romanian tradition of welcoming spring. Under the guidance of Prof. Irina Lungu, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and with the wonderful collaboration of the Faculty of Industrial Design and Business Management (IDBM), the students crafted Mărțișoare while bonding and sharing ideas.

Each Mărțișor created during the event was a reflection of the richness of cultural diversity, showcasing how traditions can transcend borders and unite people. This creative endeavor not only allowed students to learn about Romanian customs but also provided a platform to build meaningful friendships and connections within TUIASI’s international community.

Special thanks go to Assoc. Prof. Dorin Savin Ionesi, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mirela Blaga, Faculty Erasmus Coordinator, Lecturer Ramona Budeanu, Romanian students from IDBM, and our Buddy students Elisabeth, Miruna, and Teodor for their invaluable support in making this event a success.

Through events like this, TUIASI continues to foster intercultural dialogue and inclusivity, supporting the development of global perspectives while celebrating traditions that unite us all.
