On May 7, 2025, during the International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Electronics (ICCCE 2025) hosted by the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), the spotlight was placed on the BI4E Project (Boosting INGENIUM for Excellence). This forward-looking European initiative was presented as part of the round table session on university alliances and innovation in higher education.
The session began with a keynote speech by Prof. Irina Lungu, who introduced the theme “Widening in EU University Alliances: Intersectionality 4 Opportunities – INGENIUM & BI4E Projects.” Her intervention emphasized how the BI4E Project at ICCCE 2025 strengthens the role of the INGENIUM European University Alliance, an ambitious consortium of universities working together to shape the future of higher education in Europe.
Prof. Lungu highlighted three main directions of BI4E:
-
Excellence and inclusion – ensuring equal access to academic opportunities across member institutions,
-
Collaboration and equity – building stronger partnerships between universities, researchers, and students,
-
Innovation in teaching and research – fostering creativity and competitiveness in a global academic environment.
The dissemination of the BI4E Project at ICCCE 2025 also underlined the importance of intersectionality as a guiding principle for educational innovation. By integrating diverse perspectives, the project contributes to a more inclusive and future-oriented academic landscape.
For TUIASI, hosting such discussions at ICCCE 2025 reflects its commitment to supporting European Universities initiatives, while also enhancing its international visibility and role in promoting sustainable development in academia.
