Opportunities for Training
„Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, an institution among the oldest and best-known higher education institutions in our country, with an important tradition in engineering, scientific and cultural education and a thriving presence on the international scene, offers a lot of opportunities of training and teaching. Erasmus+ programme supports training periods for academic staff working in higher education institutions.
Who can join?
We are glad to invite academic staff from Programme or Partner Country HEI for training mobilities to Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi within the Erasmus+ programme. Academic staff from other universities are invited to contact their collaborators from our university, the Erasmus+ coordinator from TUIASI faculty, and international or Erasmus+ office of their higher education institution to arrange a suitable term for the training staff visit.
All you need to know about the process
Duration of stay
A training period between two Programme countries must last a minimum of 2 days and cannot last more than 2 months. This excludes travelling time.
A training period between a Programme country and a Partner country must last a minimum of 5 days and cannot last more than 2 months. This excludes travelling time.
Financial support
EU grants provide a contribution to your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad and vary depending on:
- The receiving country (Romania)
- In the case of mobility within Programme countries, the level of demand from staff from your country who intend to train abroad
- The distance between your country and the receiving country
- In the case of training periods between Programme countries, availability of other financial sources in your country or region
If the training period abroad is between Programme countries, your sending institution will be responsible for making all payments. If it is between Programme and Partner countries, the sending and receiving institutions decide which one will make your payments.
Application form
In order to apply, there is “Staff Mobility Agreement for Training”, which has to be signed by your home university, and the scanned copy of it must be sent to ……………. in order to be signed.
After all the steps are fulfilled, our university will issue the invitation letter.
