On May 29, 2025, representatives from the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) visited the Apollon Kutateladze State Academy of Arts in Tbilisi, Georgia, to strengthen their international cooperation through the Erasmus+ program. This visit reinforced TUIASI’s commitment to fostering global academic connections.
The delegation, consisting of Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Eng. Neculai Eugen Seghedin and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Prof. Dr. Eng. Mirela Blaga, met with the Rector of the Academy to explore new directions for student and faculty exchanges. The focus was on two key areas: textiles and architecture.
This initiative in international cooperation is not only about mobility but also about developing joint academic projects and collaborative research between institutions. Discussions included the potential for joint workshops, blended mobility programs, and future interdisciplinary collaborations.
As part of the visit, TUIASI representatives explored the Academy’s historic facilities and toured the innovative “Blue Table” workshop, where design, tradition, and technology intersect.
Such efforts in international cooperation help build stronger, more resilient networks in higher education, enabling students to benefit from a rich cultural and academic experience abroad.
