Building Bridges Through INGENIUM: A Special Visit to TUIASI
Between March 26 and March 31, 2025, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) welcomed Jonas R. Andersson, a technician from the University of Skövde, Sweden, through the Erasmus+ staff mobility program. Both universities, as active members of the INGENIUM European University Alliance, work continuously to strengthen academic and administrative collaborations and student mobility.
Upon arrival, Jonas met with representatives from the International Relations Office (IRO) and explored TUIASI’s campus. His visit included meetings with faculty, administrative staff, and student support teams. Discussions covered student counseling services, academic cooperation, and project development for young scholars (ROSE project). He collaborated with Mrs. Mihaela Cojan from the TUIASI Counselling Center and Professors Claudiu Romina and Oana Elena Colt from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services, who are responsible for 2 projects for young people.
Beyond academic discussions, our guest explored Iași’s cultural and historical heritage. A Buddy student guided him on a city tour, including a visit to the TUIASI Library and Aula in Copou. These experiences enriched his understanding of the university’s environment and student life.
As the visit concluded, a final meeting at IRO was held to assess outcomes and discuss potential future collaborations. Jonas R. Andersson was presented with a Certificate of Stay, marking the successful completion of his Erasmus+ exchange. This visit not only reinforced academic ties between TUIASI and the University of Skövde but also paved the way for new research collaborations, student exchanges, and joint projects under the INGENIUM Alliance.
