TUIASI Student at the INGENIUM Founders Hub Days in Kotka, Finland

Beatrice Loredana Ciucă, coordinator of Founders Hub, joined international peers at XAMK University to co-create new ideas for student entrepreneurship across the INGENIUM Alliance.

In early October 2025, Beatrice Loredana Ciucă, a student at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) and coordinator of the Founders Hub, represented Romania at the INGENIUM Founders Hub Days held at the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK) in Kotka, Finland.

The event took place between 5–9 October 2025 as part of the INGENIUM Student Partnerships, an initiative within the INGENIUM Alliance. The project aims to empower students to take an active role in shaping entrepreneurship education and innovation ecosystems across Europe.

Collaborating Across Europe

During the four days in Kotka, Beatrice worked alongside international colleagues and institutional partners from XAMK’s Student Entrepreneurship Department, PatteriES, and Cursor — a Finnish public development company that supports startups.
The team exchanged insights on how to attract more students to entrepreneurial activities and designed a framework to strengthen international cooperation within the INGENIUM network.

Building the INGENIUM Founders Hub

One of the main outcomes of the meeting was the creation of an international survey aimed at ranking the most effective methods of student support in entrepreneurship. The survey will be implemented during upcoming local Kick-Off events across INGENIUM universities.

The team also prepared the first INGENIUM Founders Hub Kick-Off event, hosted at the XAMK Kotka campus, where students learned about the Founders Hub initiative, enjoyed interactive discussions, and received branded materials to promote engagement.
Despite an unexpected early campus closure, the event succeeded in bringing students together and setting a strong foundation for future Founders Hub activities.

Looking Ahead

Following the Finnish event, the next stage of the project will focus on local Kick-Off events in each INGENIUM partner university. These gatherings will help test and refine the Founders Hub platform, collecting feedback from students to enhance its impact and usability.

By fostering collaboration among students, mentors, and institutions, the Founders Hub seeks to become a European ecosystem of innovation — empowering students to create, connect, and grow within the INGENIUM Alliance.
